Calling all young ghost hunters and master storytellers! Students unleash their imagination as they create spooky stories and characters that will give you goosebumps! Students will learn how to build suspense, conjure eerie settings, and bring their characters to life.

But remember, as they dive into the unknown, the lines between reality and fiction may blur. Are they brave enough to summon spine-tingling adventures? Students become ghost hunters sharing spooky stories and characters, creating their own magic realism fiction. Students will be guided through key aspects of the form and the use of various poetic devices including repetition and simile.

Sample Outcomes - Australian Curriculum

Create literary texts by developing storylines, characters and settings (ACELT1794)
Create texts that adapt language features and patterns encountered in literary texts, for example characterisation, rhyme, rhythm, mood, music, sound effects and dialogue (ACELT1791)
